Believed to have been built in 1443, it sleeps 6+2 on a sofa bed and we also have an annex sleeping 4 which you may enquire about too (details at end of page). Both are self contained with private entrances, private gardens and parking. Set well back from a quite rural lane, behind weeping willows and a large duck pond, with lots of parking. In the village of Cockfield with 2 pubs, a fuel station and a well stocked shop/post office. Carefully refurbished to maintain the traditional ambience but with modern facilities.

Central heating throughout plus wood burner in both properties. Welcome basket provided, as are all bed linen (300 thread count cotton) and towels and all utilities (also tea towels). No smoking and no pets please. TV, DVD player and a small library of DVD’s and a radio.
Sitting room furnished beautifully with high quality furnishings, wide screen TV, DVD and CD player, the wood burner sits in an inglenook fireplace (wood provided in winter). One of the sofas is a double sofa bed.

Kitchen includes a range cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, butler sink and lovely solid oak worktops. There is a utility room with washing machine, sink and extra freezer space. Gardeners toilet with handbasin located in the wood store.
Large lawned front garden, gravel drive and a secure garage for a car or cycles. There is a natural pond with wild ducks (we provide some seed for feeding!).
Rear garden is fully enclosed and enjoys a southerly aspect. We have a large stone patio with tables and chairs, laid mainly to lawn there is another small pond (covered for safety). parents must supervise children at all times.
Bedroom 1 is large and sunny, with a double bed and double aspect windows with garden/rural views. Antique furniture
The 2nd bedroom is also a sunny room, with double bed, lovely painted furniture and rural/garden views.
There is one beautifully appointed bathroom, due to planning constraints on this listed building, a small price to pay for the opportunity to stay in this unique property and all it has to offer!
Bedroom 3 is reached by its own staircase and has two single beds - not suitable for very young children but older children do enjoy this space!
After each occupancy all beds in the property are treated with RayCop anti bacterial cleaner..

The Annexe can be enquired on separately: but briefly comprises a private entrance and garden, with 2 double bedrooms, upstairs bathroom including shower, a wood burner in the sitting room set in a brick fireplace, flat screen TV/DVD, additional double sofa bed. The kitchen has all the expected items including washing machine, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, plus there is a conservatory and patio with garden furniture. At Chrismas the properties are decorated suitably and wood provided for the woodburners, and at Easter we provide a special welcome basket and easter eggs for children.
